In addition to getting Vendor Registration open (yay!), we’ve got some more progress to report:
We’ve done some more work on the AMVIV8 Schedule, have a look to see what else we’re planning.
As of today, we’ve received 39 Chartered Dam Tour registrations – looking good so far for the Dam tour. Its going to be nice – no driving, no waiting for a place to park, everyone gets there at the same time. It’s about the best way to see the Dam, and of course the Dam Bypass Bridge. Go on, get over there and book your Dam tour (I’m sorry, its just impossible to resist that).
Moving on…
In just two weeks, we received 65 registrations, with 101 attendees signed up so far. Wait. I just got two more emails.
Have your friends signed up yet? Well, have a look here at our guest book.
That’s all we’ve got to report for now. Can’t wait to see you!!!
Companies wanting to sign up as a Vendor for AMVIV start here.
We sent out an email tonight specifically addressing Vendor Registration. If you haven’t received your copy, please let us know. We’ll get that out to you right away.
The wait is over…..
AMVIV8 Registration is now open!
Go to http://www.amviv.com/sign-up/ to fill in all of your demographics. If you plan to pay by Paypal, please include your Paypal account email address on that form. When you’re finished, click “Send to SCMC!”. After a few seconds (be patient here), the ‘Paypal Gateway’ page will open, and there you can pay for your registration, special event pre-registrations, and of course that swag you simply must have. Each time you click “Add to Cart’, the site will take you to your shopping cart. To add more items, click the ‘Continue Shopping’ link. Please add everything you want to your shopping cart; when you’re finished, then pay. You will receive a confirmation email from Paypal if you use Paypal, and another confirmation email from Pedro once we get your payment. If you don’t get the confirmation from Pedro, we didn’t get your payment and you aren’t registered. It might take a day or 2 for Pedro to get the confirmations out. If you have any problems with the registration or payment process, please email us at amviv@sincityminiclub.com.
If you don’t want to pay online, please fill in the demographic page and add everything you want to buy to a shopping cart, then PRINT THE CART and the DEMOGRAPHIC PAGE and mail them with your check to:

Here are some highlights for this year’s registration
How about a Dam Tour during AMVIV8? We haven’t done this in a while. Have you heard about the NEW Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge? Well, it’s beautiful! But of course, the best view of it is from The Dam. You know, that place where ALL the tourists hang out? Well, we’ve contacted a local charter company, and have a sweet deal for those of you who are interested. We have negotiated a package deal for our attendees to enjoy a chartered tour of Hoover Dam on the Dam’s Discovery Tour. Since it’s a private charter, our attendees will be allowed ample time to saunter over to the Dam Bridge and use the new Dam Bridge Walkway to enjoy a unparalleled view of Hoover Dam.
The catch? There’s always a catch. The charter company can accommodate as many of us that want to go, but in order to get this deal, we must have at least 50 pre-paid registrations. WE CANNOT ACCEPT WALK-UP REGISTRATIONS DURING AMVIV. The tour will be Thursday morning, and will start and end at Palace Station – you won’t have to drive anywhere for this one! If you’re interested, add the tour to your shopping cart now. If by the time preregistration ends we do not have the required 50 person minimum, your prepaid tour fee will be refunded. Come on, sign up – it’s the EASIEST way to get out there and see the Dam and the Dam Bypass Bridge, and you know you want to see them.

For the third year in a row, we are holding a judged car show to benefit S.A.F.E. House. The car show is set for Saturday morning, we’re still working on the location. This year we’re asking everyone if they are thinking about entering the car show, to pre-register and pay, so we know how many cars to expect. The $20 entry fee is a fully tax deductible $20 donation to very worthy local charity for us. We’ve even come up with a couple more things to sweeten the deal: these include a special SAFE-House supporter special parking area during the duration of AMVIV and a special drawing for something you can really use. If you think you want to enter, there’s a special button for that under “Special Events Pre-Registration’ just for you.

This year, our Saturday evening event is going to be something different. No formal banquet, no live entertainment in a darkly lit lounge. No – this year we’re throwing The Party at The Palace. It’ll be our time to celebrate a great weekend with all of our friends. Yes, that means YOU! Music; maybe some dancing if you’re feeling merry; maybe some karaoke if you’re brave; games; your AMVIV photos on a big screen (yes, we want your AMVIV photos this year); prizes; and those bad boys from White Roof Radio will be returning to help us keep you entertained. Each $25 pre-paid registration gets you and one guest a wristband to get into the party. You must have a wristband to get in, and additional bands can be purchased on the ‘Paypal Gateway’ page.

We’re not quite ready to open Vendor Registration yet, but that is coming REALLY SOON. If you’re a vendor, you can send us an email and let us know who we need to contact directly to get you the information you need to know.
If you want to make sure that your favorite vendor(s) are at AMVIV8, contact them and let them know you want to see them there. The MINI vendors are all business people. If they aren’t going to make money over the weekend (or at the very least, break even), many of them can’t afford to come. The only way they can work out if it makes sense to attend is if they get an idea of how much business they will do. So help them (and us) out and tell them if you want to buy from them at AMVIV.

For right now, the schedule and events page is not up to date. We’ve still got some i’s to dot and t’s to cross before we can finalize that. We’ve got some of the highlights up on the “Schedule’ page, and as the details are sorted out, that page will be revised, and I’ll send you all updates.
I know there’s a lot to digest here, but that’s about it for now.Get over there and register, folks!
We’ll see you all in May.
